Targeted Pulse Electromagnetic Wave Therapy at Evendale-Blue Ash Pet Hospital
Why is Targeted Pulse Electromagnetic Wave Therapy important?
I'm here to talk to you briefly and introduce you to a technology that we use as part of our integrative medicine called TPEMF. That stands for Targeted Pulse Electromagnetic Wave Therapy. This is important because the electromagnetic waves that our Assisi Loops and our Lounge beds offer our pets allow for increased blood flow to any pain or inflammation in the body, facilitating quicker healing.
In what instances can Targeted Pulse Electromagnetic Wave Therapy be used?
This can be used anytime you have a wound and need to increase healing speed, or anytime there is inflammation in the body. This includes situations like post-operative incisions, arthritis, and even dental pain.
How does Targeted Pulse Electromagnetic Wave Therapy work?
When our pets lay on the Loop Lounge or have the Assisi Loop on a specific body part, the electromagnetic wave goes into the body and increases blood flow to that area. Increased blood flow brings in anti-inflammatory cells, like Pac-Man, that help decrease inflammation. It also helps in reducing the use of traditional medicines for pain and inflammation.
Does Targeted Pulse Electromagnetic Wave Therapy really work?
I can personally attest to how it works with wound healing. My own fur baby, Boomer, had an extensive wound on his leg. He liked to lay on in in bed, and it helped increase the healing time of his wounds.
What is the duration and frequency of the treatment?
It's usually a 15-minute treatment that pets typically enjoy. When it's on the bed, they lay right on it, just like their own dog bed. Some conditions require only a few treatments, while others, such as arthritis, may require up to six weeks of treatment, after which you can continue on an as-needed basis.
