Wellness Plans for Dogs at Evendale-Blue Ash Pet Hospital
What does the Dog Wellness Plan include?
Our Dog Wellness Plans includes your annual preventative Wellness visit. It includes up to four vaccines. It also includes your annual preventative lab work, which is really important for uncovering anything internally that your pet's not showing us outward signs of. This then allows for us to intervene very quickly and help your fur baby live as long and healthy a life as possible.
The other thing it includes is your heart test and your tick-borne disease test. We do see a lot of tick disease in this area, such as Lyme disease, which is becoming more prevalent. It also includes a fecal screening. We want to test that fecal matter to make sure we don't have any intestinal parasites because we can actually contract intestinal parasites from our pets.
Are there any additional options that can be added to the Dog Wellness Plan?
Yes, the other thing that you can do with your Dog Wellness Plan is you can add on a COHAT, which stands for Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment. This is a newer and more all-encompassing term for dental cleaning. It helps provide oral care for your pet as they grow and age.
Another addition you can add to your Wellness Plan is your monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. You want to keep your pet on heartworm and flea/tick prevention monthly, all year round, to keep them healthy and to prevent them from developing these diseases.
